Orchard Park Friends Meeting has long been a committed supporter of the nonprofit Friends of Kenya Rising and several OP Friends set up a TTV Buffalo Community Shopping Benefit fundraiser at the Ten Thousand Villages Store on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. We sat outdoors, spoke with passersby explaining that the store would be providing to FKR 15% of funds spent in the store that day by anyone saying at checkout that they supported FKR. OPFM Friends and many others responded to our request that they shop. We handed out brochures, talked with anyone interested, then many of them went inside and shopped, benefiting FKR and the TTV store. We are very grateful to TTV Buffalo for this!
